Learn the art of figure skating
Progressing into figure skating is one of the many opportunities created through involvement in Paradice Skating Academy

Figure Skating Requirements
Skaters can begin attending figure sessions after passing a minimum of Novice 1 in Skating Academy. Skaters are encouraged to attend Skating Academy until achieving the Free Skate badges in the Skating Academy curriculum.
All skaters must sign and submit a Figure Sessions Code of Conduct and a Figure Sessions Health and Safety form to the office before joining their first figure session.
Note: This schedule is for the ordinary school term. The school holiday figure schedule will vary.
* Bimonthly membership means you can skate as much as you want in public sessions and figure sessions for a 2-month period. Bimonthlies are set on scheduled 2-month cycles.
*Bimonthly fees are due before the first day of the 2-month cycle. Payments received between the 1st to 5th day of the first month of the membership will incur a late fee of $30. After the 5th day of the first month, bi-monthly passes are no longer available and you must wait until the next bimonthly cycle.
No payment means no skating. A skater’s concession or bimonthly must be redeemed on arrival before stepping on the ice. If a skater’s concession or bimonthly has run out without a new one being purchased, the skater will not be allowed on the ice. The skater will still be liable for payment of coaching fees for missed lessons. The concession and bimonthly passes are purchased at a discount for paying in advance. If these are not purchased, the skater will be charged the full fee of $21 for the session.
Skaters must fill holes in the ice before the end of the session. There is a snow bucket near the ice resurfacer. Please pack the hole with snow and smooth over.
As much as skaters try to avoid a collision sometimes this will happen unintentionally or there may be near misses. If this occurs, a quick apology from both skaters will keep harmony on our sessions.
Unless there are extenuating circumstances, coaches require 24 hrs cancellation notice by phoning the coach directly. If the coach is not informed of a cancellation in advance, scheduled lessons will be charged for.
All skaters need to arrive at least 15 minutes before the beginning of the session to warm up. This is to reduce the risk of injury and have a more productive training session.
Public session practice times are suitable for Skating Academy beginners to elementary level figure skaters.
Admission to the session must be paid or redeemed before the skater steps on the ice.
Note: This schedule is for the ordinary school term. The school holiday figure schedule will vary.
